Personalised Wrapping Paper That’s Quick And Easy!

Make your own DIY personalised gift wrap

Saying you love stationery in 2016 is a bit like saying you love avocado or drinking prosecco – in short, pretty much everyone does – but regardless of the current trend for loving stationery, I’ve always had a bit of a thing for it. I remember being on one holiday in France, when I was 14, spending near on 45 minutes browsing notebooks, diaries and ring binders in a shop – trying to decide which ones to choose, to use as my school stationery when we started back after the summer. Considering I just covered all of my school folders with Mark Owen posters and Smash Hits stickers, I’m not entirely sure what the point was in all that browsing.

But my love of stationery has only increased over the years, and Mr P has had to learn to live with the overflowing cupboard of ‘gift wrapping stuff’ where I keep all my washi tape, ribbons, stickers and gift tags… and a desk that’s covered in around 6 notebooks at any one time (with around 23 others tucked away in the drawer – well you can never have too many notebooks, right?)… and greetings cards, postcards, notelets and random inspirational quotes scattered around the house.

When it comes to wrapping presents, my theory is simple: because I’m pretty terrible at the actual wrapping bit (I always cut the paper wonky and use too much paper, resulting in bulging uneven flaps to tape down) I distract the recipient with loads of fun stuff like cute tags or spelling out their name in stickers or washi tape on the paper.

This year, I decided to go for a brown paper / neon pink / gold theme with my Christmas presents (it would work for birthday presents all year round too) and because word has clearly got out about my present wrapping skillz (it hasn’t), Frankie & Benny’s asked me to make a video showing how to personalise wrapping paper for their smartphone app. If you’ve ever dined in a Frankie & Benny’s with your kiddos, I’m pretty sure you’ll have downloaded the app because it gives you vouchers like £10 off food or Kids Eat Free. Throughout December, the app has a different offer, competition or treat every day on their Christmas Treat Tree – there have been all sorts of things up for grabs for one day only, from Alton Towers tickets to John Lewis vouchers. Today, the treat is a video showing how I make personalised wrapping paper!

You can get a peek at the video below and be sure to download the app for more treats, offers and giveaways (I’ve heard there are some fab ones coming up!)

This post has been commissioned by Frankie & Benny’s and as always, all views are my own. for details on how I work with brands, see my Work With Me page.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! It looks so good. I absolutely love hot pink with glitter and even though i’m not sure I could muster up the enthusiasm to wrap all the kids stuff like this, i’m definitely going to do my besties and my sisters present like this! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

I really like it, this looks fab! The pink and brown go really well together. I’m terrible at cutting the paper and things as well, I’ve watched these YouTube vids of how to wrap quickly and I just can’t get my head around it!

I love this! And the colours are so Instagrammable too – natch. I’m one of those weird people who actually quite enjoys wrapping, although this year I’ve typically left it all a bit last minute so I might not be loving it so much…
