Oh, you haven’t heard of Peppa Pig? You must either be a) not a parent b) dead.
If I was a contestant on Mastermind (which would never happen, I know, but let’s go with it for now) I’d wipe the floor with the other contestants with my specialist subject: The Many Jobs Of Miss Rabbit, 2005-2009. From the point my toddler hit the 18-month-old mark and first watched an episode of Peppa Pig, she was walloped by the inevitable obsession with the family of anthropomorphic pigs and their friends. We have around 25 episodes saved on our Sky+ box, two mini box-sets of books that get whipped out in restaurants or car journeys to stop the boredom setting in, a mammoth set of 16 books for bedtime reading and the obligatory variety of soft toys, t-shirts, bags, sticker books and figurines. We’re even planning a trip to Peppa Pig World later this month.
As a parent, being submerged into the world of Peppa Pig, you can’t help develop favourites – favourite episodes (mine is ‘Fun Fair’) and favourite characters. But what does your favourite character reveal about your personality? Wonder no more… *rubs hands together and channels those skills learnt writing quizzes for teen magazines*…
If your favourite character is… Daddy Pig
You see yourself as a bit of an underdog, but you’re constantly trying to impress those close to you and convince them that “you’re a bit of an expert” in something or other. Deep down, you’re very wise and have a good head on your shoulders.
If your favourite character is…Mummy Pig
You’re fiercely loyal to your family and get very angry if anyone tries to criticise them. You’re a modern woman who’s happy to ask her partner to make the soup for lunch while you do some work on the computer. Equality and fairness rules, in your book.
If your favourite character is… Miss Rabbit
The ultimate multi-tasker, you are happiest when busy and think nothing of taking on extra work and agreeing to help out friends and family when they need you. Just be careful you don’t take on too much – you’ll only let people down if you burn out completely.
If your favourite character is… Pedro Pony
Sometimes it feels like you’re having a never ending string of bad luck. If there’s a bug going around, you’ll catch it. You’re always losing things, and people often roll their eyes at you. But you’re a gentle soul and well-liked by everyone – perhaps because they want to look after you.
If your favourite character is… Suzy Sheep
Looking after people is second nature to you. If someone has a problem or if a friend is feeling under the weather, you’re the first one to check if they need anything or just need a shoulder to cry on. Make sure you’re not doing all the looking after though – you need help sometimes too!
If your favourite character is… Mr Fox
You love a bargain, and rarely pay full price for anything if you can haggle the price down. But you also have a generous spirit and will help out friends and family if they ever need it. You’re a rare diamond.
If your favourite character is… Peppa Pig
You have a kind nature and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and getting a bit down and dirty if it means you’ll get the job done. Having fun comes up high on your priorities, so whether it’s singing loudly or being mischievous, you’re a big fan.
If your favourite character is… Zoe Zebra
You’re a bit of a party animal. You might be having a girly sleepover or organising a raucous sing song around the piano (Twinkle Twinkle is your signature tune), but you’ll always get people into the festive mood.
If your favourite character is… Rebecca Rabbit
Shy and quiet, you’re not keen on everyone’s attention being on you. But you’re very focused and you know what you like (carrots) and what your skills are (jumping very high).
If your favourite character is… Edmund Elephant
Let’s be honest, you’re a bit of a clever clogs. You know a lot about a lot, and you’re not shy about saying so. Be careful you don’t rub anyone up the wrong way – it’s great to be clever, but modesty is a great attribute too.
Have I missed out your favourite character? Comment below and tell me who you like best. (Now let’s all have a sing of The Bing Bong Song, shall we?)
The kid loves Suzy Sheep and she is actually quite caring as a person, so well done on getting it spot on.
Peppa World is fun, but the food selection is rubbish, bad quality and big queues so bring your own food if you can. Also, if your daughter doesn’t nap anymore, I would advice you to go at lunchtime when all the rides are much emptier and you avoid the long morning queues. Enjoy x
A piggy snort was one of the first animal sounds my son could make!
You’ve missed my favourite – Grampy Rabbit! He’s a bit of a nutter. “I woke up this morning, the sea was still there. So was the sky. THE SEA THE SUN THE SEA THE SKY!” haha xo
Peppa Pig toy in our house says ‘i love jumping in muddy puddles’ so yup that’s me x
Has to be Grampy Rabbit. Or is it just I love the voice of Brian Blessed?
I forgot to sing – –
The sky, the sea, the sky the sea…..

ha ha! Now I have that stuck in my head on repeat!
I love daddy pig ever since he became one with the puddle and used the power of zen – hilarious. We’ve just moved onto Ben and holly which has a genius man flu episode

I haven’t seen the power of zen episode. How is this possible? *gasps* 😉
A family favourite of ours is Mr Bull, especially when at the kids fete and he gets his face painted! Ben and holly is brilliant too, new episodes just released on nick jr this month hooray!
Don’t forget Peppa’s little brother George. My son runs around the house like him saying “Dinosaur Rrrr”.
