My Grocery Haul With Mumsnet & Lidl

toast-and-tea copy

I love watching a good haul video on YouTube – beauty products, fashion, kidswear, toys, I can spend a couple of hours being nosey and seeing what other bloggers and vloggers have bought. I’ve filmed a couple myself, on my fledgling YouTube channel, and last week, I was set a challenge by Mumsnet:

Could I do my weekly grocery shop in Lidl, get everything I need AND save money in the process?

Saving money is one of my favourite things in life, so I happily accepted the challenge and went to my local Lidl to do our weekly grocery shop.

Watch the video below to see how I got on, and you can also download a meal plan if you feel inspired and want to copy our week of frugal eating!

Thanks to Mumsnet and Lidl for working with Not Another Mummy Blog – for info on how I work with brands, see my Work With Me page.

I really loved this video Alison! My only question would be, can you get organic products? If you can then I’m a convert! x

I don’t go to Lidl every week but I am very aware of the difference in price between that and my regular supermarket. Plus I love the middle aisle!

We do most of our shopping at either Aldi or Lidl (depending on which one we are closer to at the time) and the difference in the cost of our fortnightly shop was astonishing. When we did the majority of our shopping at Tesco it ranged from £100 -£150. When we do it at Aldi or Lidl it ranges from £50 to ££100. Its amazing! Plus their wine is dirt cheap and good!

Great video! I LOVE Lidl. I don’t shop anywhere else now. It’s so much cheaper and the red peppers are the size of footballs. Amazing value and the Middle aisle is full of awesome bits. With all the extra money we save I can blow it all on posters of Hugh Jackman for my bedroom.
    Score!
