Getting Summer-Ready With FatFace

One of my favourite things about going on holiday is having a good excuse to buy some new holiday clothes. I rarely go wild in the aisles, but it’s a good time to take stock of what you have, and work out if you could do with a new pair of sandals, an extra pair of shorts or a summer dress. There’s something lovely about wearing brand new outfits on holiday, isn’t there?

But there’s also something fab about wearing your old faithful clothes that have never let you down and you know that you’ll look great in them. Which is where FatFace come in! I recently discovered the joys of FatFace – their whole thing is that their clothes are pre-washed, again and again, to give them that ‘old favourite’ look and feel. Some say they even wash their clothes in happiness, so FatFace sent me a lovely hamper of happiness last week (thank you FatFace!) and asked me to try out a few outfits from their summer range, during my holiday to the Netherlands.

I’m a fairly recent convert to boyfriend jeans, and the FatFace Pale Wash Slim Boyfriend Jeans (£45) are a great fit. I love the super washed out colour, and the distressed bits, making them the perfect weekend or holiday jeans. I’ve been wearing them with the Southwold Linen Tee in coral (£28) and my pom pom sandals.

This is the Southwold linen tee in white (£28) with the Ripped Denim Shorts (£40) which I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure I could pull off, but I really like them, and I can see them becoming a total summer staple for me. The Southwold tees are probably a bit long for my liking, but they are great tucked into trousers, shorts or a skirt.

This Cara Batik Fish Cami (£25) is in the Batik Fish print, which features on lots of FatFace’s summer range. I’ve been wearing it with these Garment Dyed Mollie Shorts (£35) which are another really great summer basic that will go with pretty much everything.

Last but not least, this is the Felicity dress (£35) which features the Batik Fish print again, and was the perfect thing to wear when we went to Amsterdam for the day – it was warm and sunny for most of the day, and the dress is a lovely light fabric that kept me cool while we explored the city.

I had a look in my local FatFace store last week, and they have LOADS more lovely things that I would wear again and again. Maxi dresses, jackets, skirts – so it looks like my summer is definitely going to be Washed In Happiness!

This post has been written in collaboration with FatFace and as always, all views are mine. Please see my Work With Me page for details on how I work with brands.
