Finally! A celebrity new mum who’s happy to show off a normal body!

We’re so used to seeing images of celebrity women looking slim just weeks after giving birth, that we’re almost immune to it. I didn’t even bat an eyelid when Abbey Clancey stepped out with an ironing-board-flat torso seven weeks after having her daughter. And when Una Healy was papped out with newborn Aoife wearing what looked like a size 8 summer dress, it barely registered in my brain.

But look! Look, mums of the world! There’s finally a celebrity mum who has been photographed with her just-given-birth-bump on show. Chantelle Houghton gave birth less than two weeks ago, by emergency C-section, and rather than hide away until the bump goes down, she’s been snapped out and about. Better still, Chantelle was wearing a tight vest top and had the biggest beaming smile on her face, so the reality star is clearly happy to show off her post-birth body. Hooray!

Chantelle Houghton, you’ve just become my all-time favourite celebrity mum.

I saw her OK shoot too and was pleased to still see her bump on show for everyone to see! Good on you Chantelle x

Yes she looked v glam in her OK shoot, didn’t she? It feels like a bold step for her to make, but really, it’s just what EVERY woman’s body looks like after having a baby.

Good for her. She looks great and brave for going out in really slim fitting clothes (compared to the rest of us post birth who tend to cover up in baggier tops.

She looks gorgeous. I swear I still looked like a zombie after two weeks. In fact, I don’t think I have stopped looking like one thanks to my nocturnal toddler. Great to see that she is embracing her new mummy body x

So fab she did this-thought her make up was totally OTT in the shoot with her beautiful baby though but well done her for proving that the bump remains a (long) while post birth!

LOVE THIS! Why should mum’s have to hide away, why is there shame in having baby weight? I mean, yes, if you still haven’t dropped a size or two when the kid is 6, but 2 weeks, 2 months and even 10 months later… why can’t we women be proud of what their body has done! xx
