Well this news had completely passed me by, until I read it in Sunday Times Style today: Diane von Furstenberg has created a collection for Gap Kids and Baby Gap. And it looks cuter than cute.
I’m not one for spending a lot of money of kids’ clothes. You can keep your Petit Bateau and I’m afraid to say Johnnie Boden, I ain’t your biggest fan. I even by-passed the Stella McCartney Gap range (mainly because it was just so washed out with all its greys and pale pinks.)
But DVF! Now you’re talking. Bold prints, fun styles and even a version of the designer’s iconic wrap dress.
“This collection is about celebrating life and colour,” says Diane Von Furstenberg. “The minute a little girl is born, she is already the woman she will be. So to empower a little girl is to empower the woman she will become.”
(Hmm. Maybe Diane. Or it’s just nice to dress your kids up in fun, colourful clothes.)
Makes me wish I had a daughter!

It’s a shame there aren’t more cute designer collaborations for boys!
Ooh I like the look of that. I’m always looking for clothes that are a bit more unusual than the normal stuff you can buy. I love bright colours
Wow vibrant children’s gear-well done DVF and you for sharing! Oh and the Sunday Times!
