My house ‘to do’ list is as long as my arm. My excuse is that we moved into our current house, did a few things like wallpapering, buying of furniture and three months later, I discovered I was pregnant, so all house jobs (apart from creating a nursery of course) went on the back burner. Which is all well and good, but now my daughter is two so I really should be getting on with my list.
Along with putting shelving up and creating more of a play room for the toddler, top of my to do list is buying a new family dining table for our kitchen. Currently we have a very old, cheap, battered thing that seats four people. What we need is something good quality that’ll last us for years, will take a bit of a hammering from kids, and is large enough to (or extends to) seat 6-8 people for when we have our friends and their kids over for lunch.
Good news: Something to spur me on in my decision making is that my secret furniture crush, Furniture Village have got an extra 5% off* sale prices until Sunday 17th February.
Bad news: Browsing their website means I spotted a beautiful mirror, Conran shelving (I had no idea they sold brands like Conran until now) and a fab grey corner sofa that won’t fit in my living room, but I want nevertheless. And buying quality furniture like this is better than buying cheaper stuff that won’t last, isn’t it? So I should just bite the bullet and buy.

No, it’s definitely not! Ha ha!
Absolutely love that mirror and the Conran shelving. Expensive but a good investment for sure!
